Astrological Aspect of Education

Education is one of the most important aspects of a person's life. Good Education becomes very necessary for Success, Name and Fame in life. An Astrological evaluation of person's Birth Chart (Horoscope) can be very helpful in deciding as to which line of Education is most suitable and what level of Education is indicated in the chart. Of course, exceptions are always there, and a person may get huge success in education even if the same is not indicated in his chart and vice versa.

Education is considered from the 4th house of a native's horoscope and Intelligence from the 5th house. There is a close relationship between Education and Intelligence. Fame generated by education is considered from the 10th house.

In the horoscope, the position of Mercury and Venus is considered for Scholarship and Imagination power, and Jupiter is considered for Educational development. If planets Jupiter (Natural Benefactor of Education) and Mercury (Natural Benefactor of Intelligence) are placed together in the horoscope, then the native gets High level Education and Intelligence and he gets Respect and Prestige in the society. Similarly, if the Lord of the 4th house is in the Lagna (1st house) or the Lord of the Lagna is in the 4th house or Mercury is in the Lagna and the 4th house is strong and there is no aspect of a malefic planet on it, then the native gets Higher Education.

If the planets Mercury, Jupiter and Venus are in the 9th house, then the native's Education is of High quality. If planet Saturn is in the 9th house along with Mercury and Jupiter, then the native is a Highly Learned person. For Higher Education, it is necessary for planets Mercury and Jupiter to be strong.

If the 2nd, 4th and 9th houses are related to planet Mercury, then Education is excellent. Education in Foreign Languages is considered from the position of planet Saturn. The position of the Lord of the 5th house from the Moon Ascendant and Birth Ascendant in the Kendra, Trikon or 11th house can be used to find out what kind of Education the native will be interested in.

If the Lord of the 4th house is in the 6th, 8th or 12th house, or is in an enemy zodiac sign and the causative planet Moon is afflicted, then the native does not feel like studying. The 9th house of the birth chart is the Dharma Trikon sthan , whose karak is Jupiter. This house indicates Higher Education and its Level. If it is related to the 5th house, then the Education of the native is good.

The following combination in the horoscope is indicative of High quality Education :

• Position of the 4th Lord or Jupiter in the Kendra or Trikon Sthan
• Position of the 5th Lord in the Kendra, Trikon Sthan or in the 11th House
• Position of Mercury in the 5th house or aspect on it or conjunction of Jupiter and Venus
• Conjunction of Lord of the 5th House with planet Jupiter or Venus in the 5th house
• Position of planets Jupiter, Venus or Mercury in Kendra or Trikon Sthan

But sometimes, it is seen that even if there is a possibility of Higher Education in the horoscope, the person is not able to get Higher Education.

If the Lord of the 4th house / 5th house is in an enemy sign, or it is in the 6th, 8th or 12th house, or is with or aspected by a malefic planet, then the native is unable to obtain Education or faces obstacles in his studies. If the Lord of the 4th house / 5th house, Jupiter or Mercury is in the 6th, 8th or 12th house, or is in an enemy house, then it creates Obstacles in Education.

There can be an adverse transit of a malefic planet like Rahu and Saturn over the 5th House or its Lord. Also, the Education can be adversely affected if the person is under the Mahadasha / Antardasha of malefic planets during important phases of Education like Entrance Examinations.

Remedies for Education :
If there is a possibility of higher education in the horoscope, but simultaneously there are indication of problems as well in Education, then any one or more of the following remedies may be beneficial :

1. The person should recite the Beej Mantra of the Lord Planet of 5th House.
2. Recitation of Beej Mantra for planet Jupiter (Natural Benefactor of Education). The Mantra for planet Jupiter is "Om Guruve Namah".
3. Recitation of Beej Mantra for planet Mercury (Natural Benefactor of Intellect). The Mantra for planet Mercury is "Om Buddhay Namah".
4. A person should recite Beej Mantra for Goddess Saraswati everyday. The mantra for Goddess Saraswati is "Ya Devi Sarva Bhuteshu Vidhya Rupena Samsthita, Namastasyai Namastasyai Namastasyai Namo Namah".
5. If the planet Moon is weak in the horoscope, then recitation of Beej Mantra for planet Moon can also be beneficial from Education point of view. The mantra for planet Moon is "Om Chandray Namah".
6. Recitation of Gayatri Mantra everyday is also considered very auspicious from Education point of view. The Gayatri Mantra is "Om Bhoorbhuvah Swah Tatsyavitur Vareniyam, Bhargo Devasya Dhi Mahi Dhiya Yona Prachodyat"
7. A person should pray to Lord Ganesha and offer Durva grass.
8. For Good Education, a person can wear Gemstone of the Lord planet of 5th house of his Horoscope. People of Aries ascendant can wear Ruby, Taurus ascendant can wear Emerald, Gemini can wear Diamond, Cancer can wear Coral, Leo can wear Yellow Sapphire, Virgo can wear Blue sapphire, Libra can wear Blue Sapphire, Scorpio can wear Yellow Sapphire, Sagittarius can wear Coral, Capricorn can wear Diamond, Aquarius can wear Emerald and Pisces can wear Pearl.
9. An Education Tower can be kept on the study table.
10. One can also install Saraswati Yantra on Study Table.
11. The child should face East / North-East while Studying.
